Here's what I got. So far so good. I've ordered all-weather floor mats and a bug deflector that should be here later this week. Depending on the cost I may get the front windows tinted to match the back ones. It's a big step up from my 1994 Nissan pickup in size, comfort, and interior room.

Wow, I just read this thread now. Seems VERY discouraging to me, since I'm going to looking to purchase towards the end of the year.

I am already having a hard time finding what I want at the dealerships, and now I might have problems with ordering one also.

I know this might not be true by the time I decide to purchase, but I really dont want to settle for anything less than what I want. This will be my first NEW car purchase and finance (I'm only 24) and I refuse to spend $20k+ on something that is not precisely what I want.

However, I am pretty confident I will find what I want.

*BTW, I see on suzuki.com that the base model does not come with A/C. Is this true? I have been looking at the Kind Cab base model, I4 2.5, 5-Speed manual truck. It only comes in gray on their site which I am fine with. But it says no A/C, here in South Florida I need A/C. Does this mean I will need to upgrade to the Sport, which only comes in red!!?!

If you want the I4, you do not want "Sport" trims, as they come with the V6. You will need base, comfort, or premium trim.

Extended Cab Trims:
Base = gray; no A/C (not even as an option), no radio
Comfort = red; has A/C and AM/FM/CD
Premium = white/silver/black/red; all the bells and whistles, except those reserved for the RMZ. Only comes with A/T.

Also, when looking for a "deal" you are not as likely to get a good price on the lower tirms. The more features, the more profit that is built into the price, thus the more room to negotiate.

The closest thing to what you'll want is a Extended Cab in Comfort trim, if you really must have M/T.

Ouch, thats not at all what I plan on getting. I guess I might have to start looking elsewhere. Do they still have '09 on some lots?

Anyone know when the '11 model will be on the website to check it out?

EDIT: Yea, I see I mixed up "Sport" and "Comfort". Sorry bout that.

It is funny I ended up with a Suzuki because they didn't have the Frontier combo I wanted.

I have been looking at the Frontiers, and I just dont like the grill. I re-thought my whole scenario, and can deal without the M/T, and am probably going to get the Premium in the color I want with an auto tranny.

I seriously just really like the way the lines and front of this truck look. The rear sliding window to me is a huge plus also. Although the extra $3k+ in costs is what I wanted to avoid.

I do like the grill on the Suzuki it looks bullet proof. I wish I could get it in chrome to really make the holes stand out.

You can chrome-finish the plastic grill. Well, maybe not "you" but you can have it done. Example:

For the price of a Premium 4cyl, you can negotiate a CrewCab Sport to nearly the same price. There are many, many more CCs out there, and many dealers wanting them off their lots. Plus, you'd get teh v6. I don't know what the 4cyl does for fuel mileage, but I just filled up on Wednesday and averaged 21.7mpg on the 4.0L v6.
