Anyone else have an issue with overdrive? Mine seems to be taking too long to kick in.
I am compiling my list for the next time I am in the Dealership. So far this is high on my list. It has happened a couple of times. I also have an O2 sensor loose they are going to fix next time I am in. Driver door rattles when turning. It seems to be something near the where They had to order the one I need. I swear they have to order everything. Just go next door to the Nissan Dealership and get it. (Rant) |

Ok they stated the TBS was the cause of my shift issue. I am going to take it back to stock this week and see if I can recreate the problem.
I did not have the shift problem with this same setup on the Frontier. No one else experiencing this problem? Now they are stating the ringing problem is the Flowmaster exhaust. I knew I should have wasted my time tracking some one down the day I drove it off the lot. I couldn't find my salesman or the service guy. |

Well I drove to work today and pulled the same hill and it is still doing. So i will have to get them to look at this when I take it in for the first oil change.

Here is what it seems to be doing? You tell me if this is normal or not or if you are experiencing the same thing.
I have pull a pretty steep hill on the way home. I get on it a little to pull the hill steady. It goes into what I call "Passing Gear" and revs the RPMs. Then at the top I let off to slow down. It takes from around 70 mph to 55 mph to kick it back into the next gear and bring the RPMs back down. It is not a kick but is not as smooth as my 08 Frontier was. Anyone experience this? Is the 2010 trans different? Is it a Suzuki "Trait"? Thanks |

Ok here is the deal. It is a problem on the Frontier and the Equator. The solution is to turn O\D off when you know you need the extra power and you want to smooth out the shifts. When you are ready to cruise turn it back on.

I always thought my Equators tranny 'wanders' around alot between gears when driving in hilly areas. Turning the O/D off will prevent this, but gas mileage will suffer. Just watch your RPMs jump up by 500 or so when you hit the button.

It is not my preferred solution that is for sure. The other day I got on it to pass and it went to 6,000 RPMs before it shifted. I turned the O\D off and it shifted at a lot less.
Hopefully they will do something about it. |

Sounded like a freaking rice burning race car.
Specially with a Flowmaster Muffler on it. |

Should shift at 6000rpm when floored - but it should go into 5th(od)right after you crest hill and ease off the gas.
