hyunelan2.....the factory Nissan side steps are powdercoated metal with plastic treads and plastic ends. They bolt right to the factory studs on the floor rails. The guy I bought these off of had stored them on their ends so the front-facing endcaps are a little scratched. Considering they list for $285 and I paid $40, I'm not complaining.
You might find a pair in a salvage yard; it's worth a shot.
