Default JVC KD-AHD69 Installed

Got this done over the weekend. For the moment, it's running through the factory speakers, and the sound difference is incredible! Plus, this unit has HD Radio built-in, which gives me another 10 or so stations to listen to. I also bought and installed the Sirius package, which will get activated later this week.

FYI: There's a second fuse panel under the hood which has a radio fuse in it. How do I know this? Don't ask.........

I loved the JVC Aresenal that I had in my last car. The USB port on the front of the face is so much more convenient than chasing down the lead wire for the USB plug in my glovebox that my current Pioneer has.

(I still have it if anyone needs a deal on an aftermarket headunit).

Since someone asked......when I was wiring the Sirius unit to the harness, I accidentally touched the yellow wires (switched power) to the chassis of the radio. POP! Checked the fuse on the radio...good. Checked the fuse in the fuse panel in the glove box...good. Damn, what did I blow? Became extremely frustrated and actually pulled out the owner's manual. Only fusebox it shows is the glove compartment. Called Crutchfield, waited 10 minutes for a tech support guy, who quickly told me of the 2nd panel under the hood, passenger side against the firewall. Sure as hell, there's a 20A fuse marked "Radio." Pulled it out....blown. Open the handy toolbox I have, and do I have a spare 20A mini fuse? Not a chance. Down to AutoZone, $5 later I now have 4 spares and a working radio. Never would have found that fuse without Crutchfield's help. That alone is worth an endorsement for them.

Traded the Equator yesterday and pulled this system out. Head unit and Sirius unit all in working order along with mounting kit and harness. Paid $260 from Crutchfield. $130 or best offer.

If you have the base or Premium, my mounting kit will work. If you have the Sport or RMZ4 it will not.
