Default Drop-In K&N Filter Doesn't Fit????

Ordered the K&N drop in filter from Amazon, of all places. Part #33-2324 as the website states. Got filter and it's about a 1/8" too wide to fit into the airbox. Anyone ever heard of this happening? I've got a call into K&N in California to find out why.

chriso, any news from K&N on your filter? Looks like it should be the same as the Frontier.

Spoke with K&N, and, indeed, there is a change between the Frontier and the Equator. I find that incredibly hard to believe, but since the K&N filter didn't fit, who am I to argue? Picked up a standard one at NAPA and all's well.
