Default Went to the beach today

for the first time in the sand I was delightfully impressed!! first it was very loose sand ankle deep just walking. I pulled onto the beach in 2WD and hit the rear locker. I was going good for the first 50 yards till I camer up on a Dodge caravan!! the guy thought because it was AWD it would be ok..... NOT!! he was burried to the frame on the front..... so I swung around to pull him out. well an 2009 F150 was stuck!!! he couldnt get it into 4WD and was in the process of blocking the entrance and digging himself in when I waved him to stop. I tied him up and dropped it into 4LO. I pulled him out with ease!!! now came the challenge.... I backed to the van and tied up...I said once we are moving just barely touch the gas.....I eased into the throttle and the when the strap when tight I got into it a bit and started digging in. I hung my head out the window to see both driver side tires fighting the sand. BUT he started moving! I pulled him the 50 or so yards into the hard pack. He thanked me up and down and he left. I was excited now and whipped around in 4HI and hammered down!! this truck scoots across the sand!! I found my friends and we grilled up some food. What a good first day at the beach!!

sounds like a blast, we have a beach close to me that allows you to drive on it. I might just have to go get the tires sandy

I'm glad to hear about how good your truck does in the sand. I do a lot of surf fishing and was wondering if I will have any trouble next time I go.
