So I drove by the lot last night and I couldn't believe the prices. I bought a stripped down Frontier King Cab with no power anything and a standard transmission, 4 cylinder engine and I paid $15,000 back in 2000. Today you can get an auto transmission, power locks and windows for the same price. What a great time to be buying a truck.

I went back and looked again and that price was 15,898 plus freight which is usually about $750 so it's closer to $16,000 which still isn't bad considering the Sticker MSRP was $22,789. And the truck looks 1000 times better then a Frontier (Nissan Titan Wannabe).

A lot of it depends on where you live. This was up in Wichita Kansas and things are a little tough right now in the Aviation Industry so competition is stiff.

Well, what isn't more expensive in Canada?
![]() Even so, compared to Toyota or any of the big three, (or is it the big two or one now) I thought it was a bargain and nicely equipped too. At least you can buy a lot of your aftermarket stuff in the US and right now the exchange is not too bad. I got a quote on the hitch up here and they wanted over $500 bucks, bought the exact same hitch in the US for $126 and installed myself in 15 minutes. That leaves about $350 in my wallet for other goodies...those running boards are looking awfully good right about now.

In Canada they are offering $5,000 off the sticker price(sounds like the States also). Does anyone know how that works? Does Suzuki sell the trucks to the dealer for $5,000 less or do they refund them $5,000 when they sell a truck? I got a quote from my local dealer today and the price was $5,000 off the sticker price, so does this mean I actually paid the full sticker price and the incentive was givin by the parent company and my local dealer never gave me $1 dollar off the sticker price as an incentive. So at the end of the month when the incentive is over you'll have to pay the full price?! Any thoughts anyone?

Quote:
Dealer cost: $31,720 plus $1550 freight and the $100 a/c tax. So if this is accurate (and I have no doubt that it is) then there not much margin between the dealer cost and the MSRP of $33,795.

Quote:
Car Cost Canada says that's a factory to dealer rebate. My dealer, Ultimate Suzuki in London ON passed on the full $5,000 to me. If you don't take the rebate you can take 0% for 60 months instead.
