I bought a 2010 Equator and bought a Carter Hitch and wiring harness. the hitch looks great. The trailer lights are another matter. My running lights work but when I turn on the blinkers they do not work and actually keep my truck blinkers from working. I have called Suzuki and Nissan and no one knows anything about a relay. Do you have part number for the relay and do you think it will fix this problem. My trailer wiring is not the problem. When I check the connecter from the truck it works properly (using a test light) until connected to the trailer. Any ideas?
Thanks

If you look at my original post you'll see I experienced similar problems and they were solved by installing the relay. If you click on the thumbnail of the relay itself you can read the Nissan part number. I got mine on line from Courtesy Nissan. You can source it on-line through their parts catalog.
I know that some of the Nissan's come with the relays factory installed but I still can't imagine how anyone who sells these vehicles wouldn't know anything about these relays.
There's a different set up for standard and automatic transmissions so make sure you follow the directions that come with the relay for your specific situation or the instructions found at the beginning of this post.
Good luck.
Andy
